Southside Cocktail
This is a very easy to make and refreshing cocktail. The recipe dates to at least 1930 when it appeared in the Savoy Cocktail book, Eric Felton (Wall St Journal) guesses it was invented at the Southside Sportsman's Club in Long Island. In any case, it is a simple variant on a recipe from the 1862 Jerry Thomas book "How to Mix Drinks" We learned about it at Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco
