I admit I had never even heard of smores until 2005, after culinary school. I was on my internship at Grand Hyatt Hotel and the dessert trest came up. When I obviously didn't know what they were, I was teased for a long time. Apparently if you were in the scouts or camped this was a food staple. I went camping one time and it was terrible. The rain made our tent slide down the hill and we about ended up in an estuary of The Chesapeake Bay. After that I steered clear of outdoor tents &activities!
