Lavender Scones
What a delicious scone recipe. This was my first experience with lavender and I loved it! It originally ask for 1/3 cup of honey which I replaced with Splenda. They come out high, fluffy, moist and so tender. They aren't "sweet" but have a lovely rich flavor.
Whole Wheat Pita
Whole wheat pita can be expensive, but it's so easy to make that there's just no reason to pay more than you should.
Lemon Curd
Lemon Curd is a paste which resembles a hot marmalade. It can be made into a mousse by folding it into freshly whipped cream. It is used in tarts and tartletts and may be eaten alone. It is also used on top of shortbread cookies dough before baking.
Corn Chowder with Potatoes and Ham
If you love thick potato chowder that is chock full of corn and ham, then this is the recipe for you. Perfect for a cold winter’s day, all you need to make this meal complete is some fresh, hot rolls and perhaps a fruit salad.
