about me:
I have cooked since third grade, but wanted to start earlier, even made my parents try my mud pies as a preschool toddler.
Both parents cooked, and my three sets of grandparents, plus great grandmothers were the best. Also, learned from great aunts, and many other relatives. Cooking in this part of the country is primal. I literally learned from the very best of the best. How many say that, I do not know; but, for me it is certainly true. Because I have a heightened sense of taste and smell which has helped me enjoy cooking and tasting over my 59 years. At this point it is all about the experience, but I remember well my first experience and it has been completely great ever since then to cook and taste.
I love everything food. No, I am not fat. This is for me not a problem.
All of that aside, just bring on the recipes which just love reading. I will try some, but love to read them all. I just imagine that I am actually tasting them when I read them. Fun, fun, fun for me.
favorite foods:
New Mexico hot red chile, and hot green chile; lobster, shrimp, crab, fish, crayfish (crawfish in Louisiana); fresh vegetables; herbs; spices; dairy, excellent quality beef; rainbow trout, white perch caught and cooked by me.
