Although I’m a true SouthernHeart (I was born in Mississippi and grew up in Tennessee), I’m now living on a 58-acre tree farm in the Callahan Mountains of Oregon with my macho logger tree farmer husband. I’m the mother of three wonderful grown children and the grandmother of eight amazing grandchildren. I’m very proud of each of them. You’ll can read about our farm life on my blog at:

The farm is complete with a greenhouse, raised bed gardens, chickens and Boer goats! Of course, farm fresh eggs and produce means some great recipes I’ll share from time to time.

I especially love Southern cooking but also enjoy a wide-assortment of other recipes. I also enjoy Italian, Mexican and French cooking to mention a few. One of my favorite meals is when I return home to the South for a visit. There I love my sister Gerry\\\\\\\'s mouth-watering rump roast with gravy, mashed potatoes and all those fresh Summer vegetables. Oh, and hot buttered cornbread muffins!
