Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately. Shortly after I joined this site, I learned I had to have surgery on my spinal cord and some disc. Have had a few fair days but mostly bad days but getting better. But not doing a lot with cooking or computer. Be back into this stuff soon!
Thanks!

favorite foods:
Favorite Foods??? hmm... wrong question to ask me! lol I like anything that is not good for me. lol
Serious, my favorite foods would be, all breads, any ole' way fixed taters, all seafoods and Chinese food.
Oh, and can't forget mac-n-cheese. Specially with ham added and a breaded topping. :-))
Potato and Ham Chowder
This was thrown together for lunch in a mere 30 minutes. I had several leftovers - I've listed which components were leftovers.
Monkey Bread
My Sister makes this for breakfast and it is almost addicting. It is super easy to prepare, but is extremely decadent tasting. You can make a cream cheese frosting to top it off if you really want to indulge. Your kids will definitely love it! (I think she may have named it for her little monkey...ok, child, Sam)
Corn Chowder with Potatoes and Ham
If you love thick potato chowder that is chock full of corn and ham, then this is the recipe for you. Perfect for a cold winter’s day, all you need to make this meal complete is some fresh, hot rolls and perhaps a fruit salad. When you can make something this delicious so quickly, you will never have to worry about what to serve for supper on a blustery evening again.
Stuffed Mushrooms
My Aunt taught me how to make these delicious stuffed mushrooms a few years ago. Anytime we have a family gathering we all fight over them because they are so delicious. Try them and you will see how addicting they are. You may need rehab for these fabulous mushrooms!
Bacon Pie
Warning to the faint of heart: Don't eat this more than once a year! A friend asked for a pie like this that he had heard rumors about. I couldn't find a recipe, so I devised this one.
