about me:

Over the years my family and friends have devoured foods that I have made. Good easy recipes are to be shared! Quite often when I am not cooking or on my computer, my sewing machine can be heard humming. Unless...I am reading a good book.

favorite foods:

There are so many favorite foods for me: Grilled Fish, Lasagna, Key Lime Pie, any food with apples, blueberries or strawberries, Butternut Squash, Oatmeal Pancakes and a baked potato.

When Zesty Carrots are served with dinner our serving dish is always emptied! This delicious easy to prepare and colorful side dish is a nutritious family favorite. I use dried spices, because they are always found in my spice rack. Yummy!

Easy Cheesy Noodles is a memory from my childhood! My mom used elbow macaroni when she made this easy and yummy side dish. I now use “No Yolks” Noodles, but Egg Noodles can be substituted. We do not have leftovers when this family favorite side dish is served.

Add a few Plumped Raisins &/or Craisins to Pillsbury Cinnamon Twists before baking and a package of ordinary sweet rolls will taste great!

A tangy salad full of flavor is always enjoyed at dinnertime in my family. During the winter months Mom's Cole Slaw tastes great! My mother-in-law made this often and now this recipe will be passed down in my family. And add the Raisins for that extra flavor! Sometimes, I make this a day before serving. Yummy!

When the weather gets warm it is an invitation to use our outdoor grill. Grilled Sockeye Salmon is absolutely delicious! It does not need a fancy saucy topping, or any salty addition. Served with a microwaved “baked” potato and a veggie or fruit salad, a healthy and colorful dinner is ready quickly. Yummy!
