Coke Marinated Lamb

Coke Marinated Lamb

I read somewhere that soaking your meat briefly in Coke can soften and tenderise it as the acid in the Coke breaks it down a tad. So I decided to give the lamb a bit of a soak before washing it and marinating it. So here we go. The lamb really was very tender, not fall off your fork tender but noticeable more soft and juicier than when I previously used to fry or grill lamb. Do try it and let me know how it turns out. :) It can also be used for other meats to tenderise or even as part of a marinate. :) Enjoy!

This is a really easy and quick meal to prepare, great with rice or personally I prefer to eat it with porridge/congee.

Easy and extremely fulfilling yummy snack! Also much easier to eat than picking up with your bare hands -- the corn gets super hot.

Hello there! I'm sure I don't need to tell you how to cook the chicken wings in lemongrass sauce because i'm sure most people would be able to figure that one out! I'm going to tell you how to make more yummy rice.

Unique way to prepare crab as a main course meal. The ginger adds so much to this dish!

This is just a different take on the classic prawn with garlic and butter sauce. I tried adding in some chinese sauces to see what I would get and I didn't regret it one bit.

I love chicken wings. So I've come up with several ways to cook them. This is a slightly sweet and spicy sauce which goes very well with rice.

A lot of ingredients for a really really simple dish. I have already said how to make the mashed potatoes in my other dish called "Seafood, Cream and Thyme" so if you would like to know how, just skip over there :).

I realise that I seem to be using similar ingredients to my breakfast recipe. It's part of my trying to incorporate more fresh vegetables into my diet lifestyle now that it's approaching winter and I ALWAYS get sick during winter. urgh. This recipe is super simple and yummy!

Paprika Pork Pasta

I had no rice hence the use of pasta. :( I'm such a rice person that I die when I don't eat rice for more than a few days, okay make that more than 2 days, then you slowly see the life being sucked out of me and watch me curl up into a corner, rocking back and forth chanting "pretty pretty rice, pretty pretty rice". Okay enough. So here's how to make a slightly spicy pasta. My friend wanted to put cheese on it because it's a pasta, i'm not sure how that would turn out though. This would be a "red" curry, not thai style but just the ingredients used just make it reddish. Next recipe i'll be using green curry. Haha. I hate it when I run out of rice.

Seriously, it's not that hard. It's a very basic dish, dressed up to look good. As for what wine would go with it, dry, red wine. Not a wine buff I did not pick the wine to go with this.

I have been using my oven alot to cook because I find it very convenient! It's nice having an oven around the house and I have never really used ovens before so I decided to shove more things onto the oven other than chips or fish fingers.

Hello everyone! Sorry fer to long absence but now i'm back with my mediocre slew of dishes to tantalise your taste buds YUM YUM! This is a very light stew/soup thing for those spring nights, hearty enough to keep the last bits of winter from your bones, light enough that you don't feel stuffed. Let's begin!

This is a dish which can go with pasta, cous cous or my personal favourite crusty soft warm bread from the oven! Apparently this goes well with white wine and some cheese. The day before (or week before depends on how diligent you are) you have to make the oil for this to be cooked in

I usually don't have such nice breakfasts. Breakfast for me is usually a green tea latte if i'm at uni or cereal or a sandwich if i'm at home. Today however I was craving for scrambly-omlettey eggs with bread so I made this. :)

After seeing a few recipes which involved cooking pasta but directly adding in dry pasta to the sauce and letting it cook and absorb the sauce I decided to try and it i is delicious! The texture is slightly firmer and very flavourful!

It is served cold and after meals, somewhat like dessert. It's great even if you feel way too full, it somewhat soothes your overstuffed bloated feeling.

Really simple lamb chop recipe using some herbs, butter and salt & pepper to allow the lamb taste to be the main focus of the dish. Enjoy!

Easy Peasy lobster risotto. How easy? Just do this. Make sure you go easy on removing the shell so you have it nicely curled up to be used as some kind of clever decoration! I got this idea from eating at a seafood restaurant.

I love fish and after having this dish in a restaurant, I managed to weasel out how to do this from the waiter and was astounded by the easiness. Try it, you can't go wrong.

Baked Snapper

Baked Snapper

star_offstar_offstar_offstar_offstar_off Comments (0)

Hello! I already did post up a recipe on baked fish before but this time I used baby snappers instead of a flat fish and substituted the mixed herbs for paprika. I've been experimenting with paprika instead of pepper and I tried not to add mixed herbs this time as it might over power the fish as snapper has a very light taste so I did not use mixed herbs this time. :)
